 YVTP MEETING THURSDAY MAY 7, 2026

TOPIC - IREDELL STATESVILLE SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION

LT. COL. MATTHEW YOUNGBLOOD - Won his seat as the district 2 Republican Representative  but three of the board representatives to include the acting chair refuse to recognize Youngblood. Thereby, refusing to allow his seating on the ISS School Board. In the delay, efforts to pass over $30 million in spending most of which targeting construction projects in district 2 is being attempted. The subsequent increase in taxes upon Iredell Tax payers will in effect become taxation without representation. Furthermore, efforts seem to indicate an attempt by the School Board three led by the acting chairman to "appoint" another person to become the District 2 representative. 

Action: The YVTP will meet to discuss the matter an alert citizens in District 2 as well as other Districts in Iredell County. 

What's at stake: The undermining of the US Constitution to establish a Republican form of government. A representative democracy is the life blood of a free nation. It doesn't matter if it involves the national election of a President or a local election for the school board.  

The Obvious Question:

Why does the current "acting chair" and school superintendent seek to block the conservative candidate from taking his chair as the District 2 Republican Representative?
